There may be an activation cost, that is assumed to be included in the sale of the used game, but it looks to be a solid figure meaning used games won’t fall below the activation price (an unconfirmed price of £35 at the moment). Retailers may sell the game for whatever they wish, but they only get to keep up to 10% of the sale. That’s less than what they get for new games. The rest of the money goes to Microsoft and the developers. Microsoft’s Major Nelson (what a name) did contact the source site explaining that some of the rumors aren’t true and they they really don’t know what they are doing yet. Microsoft are either getting more greedy than ever or are trying to kill the used game market. Either way, we’ll learn more soon and keep you posted.
